Each week one of our cruise experts answers your question.
This week it’s Nancy Koh, Assistant General Manager of Chan Brothers Worldwide Cruise Centre in Singapore.
Hani Rahmat of Malaysia asks: “How do I pick the right cabin for my cruise?”
“Cabin selection is largely based on budget, requirements and destination. Families with young children may prefer to steer away from balcony cabins as a safety precaution. Well-heeled travellers may prefer to indulge in spacious and stylish suite cabins with the full works of concierge service, lounge access, priority embarkation and disembarkation among numerous other perks. Multi-generational families may also opt for suite cabins for reasons of a common living area connecting two bedrooms to facilitate dialogue. For certain destinations such as the majestic Alaska, balcony cabins are a must for daily floor to ceiling views of wintry paintings coming to live.”
