Princess cruises will be extending Sapphire Princess’ season in Asia in 2020 with Grand Asia voyages and a Solar Eclipse cruise.
Following its sixth homeporting season in Singapore from December 2019 to March 2020, the ship will offer new itineraries comprising eight, 16, 24, and 32-day voyages in Spring 2020.
Newly added itineraries like two Grand Asia voyages from Shanghai, Hong Kong or Singapore to various destinations in Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and South Korea will be highlights.

“By offering new itineraries such as her first transatlantic cruise, ‘Search for the Northern Lights’ and the ‘Solar Eclipse’ cruise this year, Sapphire Princess continues to delight guests looking for new cruise experiences.”
The ‘Solar Eclipse’ cruises are 11 or 21-nights, departing December seven and 17, 2019.
The first Grand Voyage departs March 1, 2020 and the second on March 12. In between the Grand Asia voyages, Sapphire Princess will undergo a two-week dry dock in Singapore in April 2020.
The ‘Solar Eclipse’ cruises are 11 or 21-nights, Singapore return. They depart December seven and 17, 2019, and sail to the Southeast Asian ports in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia.
The ship will be then be based in Shanghai for her summer sailings in North Asia from May to October 2020 before heading to Melbourne via Singapore on a 21-day voyage, for her first homeporting season in Australia.
Sapphire Princess will join four other Princess ships – Regal, Majestic, Sea and Sun Princess for the 2020/21 Australian summer season.
