This amazing tremendous trio of water slides is the first at sea. Passengers who dare, will plummet 10 storeys from the top of the new Harmony of the Seas. Starting from the top of the ship, the slide winds its way down to the bottom deck of the world’s biggest ship. Harmony of the Seas will be sailing around the Mediterranean.

Polar Expedition ships

Underwater Lounge

Ponant has revealed that it will be creating a special underwater lounge on four of its new Polar Expedition ships. It is the first ever underwater lounge at sea and features a bar area with large windows below the ship’s surface. Passengers onboard will be able to order drinks and enjoy marine life that may be swimming past the vessel. It is also designed for whale watching.

Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Vista

SkyRide

Elevated 150 feet above the sea, Carnival Cruise Line’s SkyRide is a new pedal power activity at the top of the cruise ship. Passengers sit in open-sided “cabs” with panoramic views of the sea as they pedal their way around an 800-foot circuit around the Carnival Vista’s top deck. It’s the first of its kind at sea.

Norwegian Joy

Go-kart track

The newest addition to NCL, the Norwegian Joy which will be homeported in China, will have a go-kart track. This is the first one at sea and the line said the activities onboard are catered towards the preferences of Chinese guests. There is also an open-air laser course, two multi-storey waterslides as well as a virtual reality room with simulator rides and interactive video walls.

Quantum-class ships

Heading to China and then to Southeast Asia, Ovation of the Seas will boast the sky diving simulator, iFly. The activity has been a big hit on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class ships and is the latest sporting craze. You will be in a glass tunnel of air where you will float and learn some tricks like somersaults in the air. Better yet, the funnel is on the top of the Royal Caribbean ship so you will have a 360 degree view of the ocean.
